Fern Christensen, 71, of Browerville, passed away on March 4, 2010, at her home.  Funeral services for Fern were held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at the Assembly of God Church in Long Prairie with Pastor John Serrano officiating.  Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville. 

Fern was born August 30, 1938 in Rockford, MN to John & Amelia (Andrea ) Meyer.  On June 2, 1956 she married Russell Christensen in Mason City, Iowa.  Together they resided in Rockford, MN until 1972.  In 1972 they moved to Browerville where they farmed to the present.   Fern was a very hard working lady.  She had a heart of gold and always put others first.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, her chickens and music.  Fern especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife. Fern would never miss her sons softball games.  She also enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events. Fern attended the Assembly of God Church in Long Prairie.

Fern is preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter.

Fern is survived by her husband Russell of Browerville; children:  Mark (Sheryl) Christensen of Browerville, Chris (Jennifer) Christensen of Browerville, Dale (Paula) Christensen of Browerville, Tammy Christensen of Browerville, Darrell (Bonnie) Christensen of Browerville, Teresa Christensen of Browerville, Jay (Carisue) Christensen of Springfield, Missouri, Brent Christensen of Browerville, sister Jeanette(John) Quinn of Plymouth, 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
