In Mankato, MN, on the 31st day of August in 1939, Richard Everett Workman was born to Woodrow and Lilly Norgard Workman. His parents divorced when he was young. His mother remarried a man named Frank J.Seykora. He became the man that Richard knew as dad. His one wish was that Frank would have adopted him. They blessed him with a sister, Joyce.
Richard grew up in Omaha, NE, with a loving family. He graduated from South High School in 1957. Shortly after graduation he joined the Army. He married Alice Lyon on March 31,1964. He served 3 tours of duty in Viet Nam. He retired from the Army in 1978 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He and Alice moved to Omaha and he worked for the city of Omaha in the park department. He retired from there in 1995 and they moved to Browerville, MN. Alice preceded him in death in 2000 and he moved to Sauk Centre, MN. He moved to Billings, MO in 2008 to be near his family.
Richard was a kid at heart. He loved sitting a talking about cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. He has an awesome collection of wolves. He was an avid reader enjoying a good mystery. He was a very generous and kind man. He loved his family and we will miss him so very much.
Richard had his second birth on April 23,2010, with Joyce and her husband Dick, Greg and his wife Francie, and their son Alan standing around him as he asked Jesus to be his Savior and Lord! What a joy we have knowing that we will see him again.
