Violet Johnson, 85, of Browerville, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Funeral services for Violet will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville with Pastor Nate Loer officiating.  Interment will be held at Cushing Union Cemetery.

Violet was born on October 23, 1921, in Long Prairie, to Fred and Linda (Dehn) Virkus Sr.  She was an excellent cook, enjoyed watching birds and visiting with people.  Violet was a wonderful wife and sister.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Browerville.  

Violet is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Victor and sister Vera Cooper.

Violet is survived by her sister Phyllis Rogers of Corrales, New Mexico, brothers:  Phillip Virkus of Cambridge and Fred Virkus Jr. of St. Paul.
