Sylvia Biermaier 80, of Randall (formerly of Cushing), passed away on February 23, 2006, at Amazing Days Elderly Care Center in Randall.  Funeral services for Sylvia were held on Monday, February 27, 2006, 11 a.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville with Rev. Julie Sutton-Deem officiating.  Interment was held at Woodman Cemetery in Clarissa.  Casket Bearers were Darrell Boie, Travis Edwards, Dave Hillmer, Roger Krist, Roger Jeziorski and Steve Biermaier.

 

Sylvia was born on August 7, 1925 in Verndale, Minnesota to Arthur & Anna (Lage) Lehmann.  On September 5, 1953 she married Lloyd Biermaier.  Sylvia worked at Armours for 20 years in South St. Paul and from 1973 until 1990 she and Lloyd owned and operated Whoopee Inn.  After retirement Sylvia and Lloyd moved to Pierz and then after Lloyd’s death in 1993, Sylvia moved to Randall in 2001.  Sylvia enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking, playing cards and listening to the Radio.   Sylvia always kept the grandchildren in mittens and hats. 

 

Sylvia is survived by her children:  Luann (Terry) LeMay of Sauk Rapids, Gene (special friend, Carol Hutchinson) Biermaier of Clarissa, MaryAnn (Albert) Frey of Racine, Cindy (Clayton) Sanders of Randall, Willey (Linda) Biermaier of Browerville, sister, Verna (Donald) Biermaier of Inver Grove Heights, brother, Gordon (Yvonne) Lehman of Battle Lake, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

 

Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd, son Richard and brother Delfred.
