Robert Senger, 82, of Motley, passed away on September 17, 2008, at his residence.  Memorial services for Robert were held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, 2:30 p.m., at the Lincoln Evangelical Free Church in Cushing.  Interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery in Staples. 

Robert was born on November 1, 1925, in Fargo, North Dakota to Gabriel & Gunda (Kongelf) Senger.   Robert joined the US Navy on September 7, 1943 and was honorably discharged on May 21, 1946.   He attended Texas A & M for two years.  Robert worked for the railroad for 37 years retiring in 1988.  On June 1, 1988 Robert married DeAnn Farber at the Rose Garden in Minneapolis.  They moved to Motley in 1995.  Robert enjoyed telling stories about the old days, dancing, walking, having coffee with the old timers and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was a member of the Lincoln Evangelical Free Church in Cushing.

Robert is survived by his wife DeAnn of Motley, children:  Susan (Al) Ludlam of Crystal, Debra (Mitch) Stevens of Motley, Cindy (Dave) Marsh of Staples, Donald (Michelle) Solga of Pelican Rapids, David (Kathy) Solga of Medora, North Dakota, Duane (Claudia) Solga of Motley, John (Angie) Niemi of Motley, Craig Niemi of Menahga, Ronald Wheelock of Appleton, 27 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents.
