Raymond Sadlo, 70, of Browerville, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Greater Staples Hospital.  Funeral services for Raymond were held on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 11 a.m., at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville with Rev. Wes Johnson officiating.  Interment was held at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville

 

Raymond was born and raised on the family farm June 5, 1936 in Ward Township, Todd County, to Elmer and Dorothy (Strike) Sadlo.  On May 31, 1958 he married Shirley Heldman at the United Methodist Church in Staples.  Raymond drove belly dump truck for Starry Construction/Central Specialties for 30 years.  He was always early to bed early to rise with coffee and the sun rise. He enjoyed playing cards with the neighbors(smear) mowing lawn, eating at K. F. C. and polka dancing, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending as much time with them as he could.  Raymond was a member of the United Methodist Church in Staples.

 

Raymond is survived by his wife Shirley of Browerville, children:  Peggy (Alan) Hayes of Chaska, Kevin Sadlo of Browerville, Kenneth (Mandy) Sadlo of Clear Lake, Pamela (Ralph) Buermann of Paynesville, Patti (Paul) Stich of St. Cloud, sisters:  Betty Martin of Sauk Rapids, Janice Kellner of Gibbon, 12 grandchildren and his dog “Pugsley”.

 

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and brother Lester.
