Randy Gosmire, 53, of Long Prairie, passed away on January 28, 2006 at the Long Prairie Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services for Randy will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, 11 a.m., at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing with Rev. Julie Sutton-Deem.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment was held at the Zion Cemetery rural Browerville.   

Randy was born on February 11, 1952 in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Clarence and JoAnne (Dodge) Gosmire.  On March 30, 1996 Randy was married to Ruth Strassbburg in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Randy drove truck for many years and worked as a machinist for a tool & dye company.  In recent years he enjoyed farming and working with his sheep.  He loved working with his guns and spending time with his family. 

Randy is survived by his wife Ruth of Long Prairie, 4 children, 3 sisters:  Darcy (Jerry) Justice of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Carla (Dennis) Myers of Howard, South Dakota, Brenda (Paul) Hanten of Howard, South Dakota and 10 grandchildren.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents.
