Irma Nelson, 87, of Browerville, passed away on May 15, 2009, at the St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.  Friends may call on Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Iten Funeral Home in Browerville from 4-7 p.m.  Funeral services for Irma will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 11:30 a.m., at the Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri.  Interment will be at the Floral Hills Cemetery.

Irma was born June 14, 1921 in Browerville to Gressie & Caroline (Frank) Line.  On February 2, 1945 she married Orville Nelson.  Irma enjoyed bird feeding, gardening, flowers and especially her cats.  She was a loving mother and was known by her many nieces and nephews as a kind and gentle aunt with a very positive attitude.  Irma was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clarissa.

Irma is survived by her son, Everett (Terri) Nelson of Independence, Missouri, grandson, Jim of Blue Springs, Missouri, sister, Sylvia Demel of Bloomington, and her many nieces and nephews.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville, siblings:  Sylvan, Russell, Charlie, Lorenzo, Robert, Clinton, Clova, Goldie and Tracy.
