Nancy Lynn Rowe, 62, of Long Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 25, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Long Prairie with Pastor Andrew Brown officiating.  Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Long Prairie. 

Nancy was born on August 15, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas to Lynn & LaVerne (Pursley) Jackson.  She was raised in Amarillo where she attended school and graduated in 1963.  Nancy attended the Amarillo School of Business for one year.  She was united in marriage to John Rowe Sr. in 1964.  Nancy and John had 6 children together.  Nancy and John moved to Chisholm in 1968 and then moved to rural Browerville in 1972.  She began working at Coborns in Long Prairie in 1996 and moved to Long Prairie in 2003.  Nancy enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, reading and knitting.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Long Prairie. 

Nancy is survived by her husband, John Rowe, Sr. of Pierce, Nebraska, children:  John (Angela) Rowe of St. Francis, Mark Rowe of Brainerd, April (Roger) Avelsgard of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Tammy Rowe of Browerville, Amber Rowe of Wadena, sister, Laura (Chris) Broyles of Amarillo, Texas, and 9 grandchildren.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and son Gregory.
