Monica Buhl, 92, of Cambridge (formerly of Browerville), passed away on December 4, 2007, in Cambridge. Funeral services for Monica were held on Friday, December 7, 2007, 12 noon, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Father David Maciej officiating. Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.
Monica was born on April 16, 1915, in Independence, Wisconsin, to Gregory & Elizabeth (Klaus) Beinusa. At the age of 5, Monica and her family moved to Staples after her father’s death. They lived there briefly and then moved to Browerville where she attended parochial school through the 6th grade. After school Monica went to work as a nanny and housekeeper. On November 23, 1932, Monica married Anton Buhl at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Browerville. She worked on the farm and continued housekeeping. Monica enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and spending time in her flower garden. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville.
Monica is survived by her children: Violet Hanych of Minneapolis, Betty (Clarence) Feela of Grasston, Mary (Jerry) Knosalla of Grasston, Toni Jambor (Berry Lee) of Isanti, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Monica is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, 8 brothers and sisters, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter and 1 son-in-law.
