Eileen Marlow, 100, of Browerville, passed away on June 3, 2007 at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, 11 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. John Caskey officiating.  Friends may call on the day of the service starting at 10 a.m. in the church.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Browerville. 

 

Eileen was born on February 3, 1907, in Hartford Township to Thomas and Rose (Schneider) Bassett.  She attended school at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and graduated from Browerville High School She was married Arthur Marlow in 1932.  Eileen spent many years writing news for the Browerville Blade; she enjoyed making blankets, gardening and playing cards.  Over the years she belonged to many card clubs.  Eileen was a member of Christ the King Church and homemakers.

 

Eileen is survived by her children: Jim (Carol) Marlow of Browerville, Joan (Jim) Cooper of Brainerd, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

 

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings:  Alvin Bassett, Mary Larson, Alice Bassett, Luella Sleeper, Ethel Bentz, Rudy Bassett and Thomas Bassett.
