Olga Kotval, 91, of Clarissa, passed away on November 19, 2009, at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  Funeral services for Olga were held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 1 p.m., at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Clarissa with Pastor Chad Czischke officiating.  Interment was held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Long Prairie.

 

Olga was born on July 11, 1918, in Ward Township, Todd County, to Fred & Anna (Glaeske) Duda.  On October 12, 1943 she married Edward Kotval in Long Prairie.  Olga worked at the Do Drop Inn, M & O Drive Inn and for many years babysat for several families in Clarissa.  She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Clarissa where she was very active and the WFLA 192 of Alexandria.

 

Olga is survived by her children:  Dianne (Don) Kirchberg of Rush City, Charles (Sandra) Kotval of Stillwater, Arnold Kotval of Claremont, sisters:  Ruth Luke of Long Prairie, Alma (Kenneth) Lindstrom of Long Prairie, David Duda of Clarissa, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

 

Olga is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, sister Sally and her husband Lawrence Virkus.
