Kathryn Zech, 83 of Browerville, died at the Long Prairie memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2006, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. John Caskey and Fr. George Zeck officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.

Kathryn was born on February 13, 1923 to Willie and Minnie (Borgert) Goligowski.  On November 26, 1940 she married Sam Zech.  Kathryn was born and raised in Browerville.  She was a mother, homemaker, and farm wife until retirement.  Kathryn enjoyed fishing, needlepoint, playing cards, dancing, country western music and flowers.  She especially enjoyed her family and a little dog named Taffy.  She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Christian Mothers. 

Kathryn is survived by her daughters:  Jane (Fred) Ashenbrenner of Edina, Joyce Teare of San Diego, California, Karen (Ray) Benning of Browerville, brother Edward (Doris) Goligowski of Browerville, 13 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam, infant son, granddaughter Stacy, brothers Phillip, Louis and sister Gertrude.
