
Loretta C. Jeziorski, 91, of Browerville, passed away on November 16, 2008, at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services for Loretta were held on Thursday, November 20, 2008, 12 noon, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. David Maciej officiating. Interment was at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville. Casket bearers were Mike Jeziorski, Jim Jeziorski, Dan Jeziorski, Tony Strack, Curt Dugger and Bob Maschler. Cross Bearer was Barb Strack.
Loretta was born on October 19, 1917, in Little Elk Township, Todd County, to Joseph & Caroline (Pechan) Maschler. She went to (Brechners) Dist #105 Country School east of Browerville through the 8th grade.
Loretta married Edward Jeziorski on October 8, 1935, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Browerville. Together they farmed in Little Elk Township until 1939 when they moved to Edward’s home farm in Turtle Creek Township where they farmed until 1966. At that time they moved to New Brighton, where they lived until they retired in 1972 and moved home to a house on Thunder Lake in Turtle Creek Township. When Ed died in 1982, Loretta moved to Jagush’s apartments where she lived for the next 25 years before entering the nursing home in January 2008.
Loretta’s greatest love was to bake coffee cakes, pies, cookies, donuts and candy making, especially caramels. She also embroidered and crocheted hundreds of afghans, doilies and mittens for the grandkids. Playing cards (hand & foot) was a great past time with all her lady friends at Jagush apartments, also yatzee and Uno with the grandkids when they came to visit. She also loved the Grand Ole Opry and Lawrence Welk show.
Loretta is survived by her sons: Kenneth (Priscilla) of Grey Bull, Wyoming, and Roger (Marlene) of Browerville, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward on July 9, 1982, brothers: Lawrence, Mike and infant daughter.
