Lucille was born on November 7, 1917 in Browerville to Louis and Anna (Host) Becker. She attended country school through the 8th grade. After school Lucille stayed at home and worked with her mom and dad on the farm until she married Henry Hoelscher on June 15, 1937 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Browerville. After their marriage Lucille and Henry moved to the family farm in Ward Township and later moved into town in 1983. Lucille was a member of Christ the King Church, member and past president of the Christian Mothers, and Eucharistic Minister. Lucille’s love of God and family were very important to her.
Lucille is survived by her children: Millie (Don) Moran, Roy (Chalonie) Hoelscher, Harry (Jan) Hoelscher, Gene (Carol) Hoelscher, daughter in law, Jo Ann Hoelscher, Ken (Betty) Hoelscher, Jeanette (Bill) Schroeder, Kathy (Tom) Henrich, Chuck (Karen) Hoelscher, Allen (Linda) Hoelscher, Gerard (Les) Hoelscher, Greg (Denise) Hoelscher, Marie (Dan) Bullert, Lloyd (Sharon) Hoelscher, Mark (Carla) Hoelscher, Patty (Wayne) Paquin, Peggy (Jim) Boettcher, siblings: Helen Biermaier, Rita Jubert, Margie (Francis) Zins, Fred (Dorothy) Becker, Ken (Mary Lee) Becker, Clara Johnson, sisters-in-law Mary Becker and Esther Hoelscher, brother-in-law Jerry Holmquist, 61 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, sons Joseph & Kevin, son in law Fred Sobota, siblings: Barb Holmquist, Dick Becker, Mildred Becker, brothers in law George Biermaier, Emil Jubert, Kenton Johnson, 3 infant great grandchildren: Nicholas Moran, Douglas Sutherland and Ella Hoelscher.
