Hattie Irsfeld, 95 of Browerville died on Monday, December 08, 2008 at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Dec. 15 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville, interment was at the parish cemetery. 

Hattie was born in Iona Township to Thomas & Frances (John) Kotula.  She grew up on the family farm west of Browerville.  Hattie married Richard Irsfeld on June 6, 1938 and this past summer they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Hattie enjoyed gardening; she was an excellent seamstress and was an outstanding cook & baker, with her specialty being Polish coffee cakes.  She enjoyed her family & friends, loved playing cards and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Hattie is survived by her husband Richard, daughters; Connie (Tom) Connor, Nancy Gonis, Paulette (Rowland) Angvall, brothers; Frank, Gene, Vern & Tom Kotula, sisters, Ceilia Eldred and Shirley McAnnaney, six grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Mary Rodreguez, Sister Doris, Robert Kotula, Gen Pieroni, Pat Dropping, Ed Kotula, Agnes Kotula, Lawrence Kotula and son-in-law Perry Gonis.
