Fred Kilanowski, 92, of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away on January 31, 2007, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, February 3rd, 11 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. John Caskey officiating.  Interment will be held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.

 

Fred was born on July 24, 1914 in Staples Township, Minnesota, to John and Julia (Jakubik) Kilanowski.  Fred worked as a farmer in both Minnesota and Wisconsin; he worked in the tool and die business for several years and retired from Sears Roebuck & Company as a T.V. repairman in Burlington, Wisconsin. Fred loved the outdoors, gardening and splitting wood to heat his home in the winter months.  He also enjoyed feeding the birds, deer and other animals that visited his home.  He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, Wisconsin.  

 

Fred is survived by his sister in law, Lorraine Kilanowski and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by good friends Robert and Mary Meyer, and Virginia Boulden of Burlington, Wisconsin. 

 

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leo and George; and sisters Catherine Kilanowski, Pat Martin, Josephine Kilanowski and Idella Newton.
