Daisy “Dolly” Soule, 84, of Browerville, passed away on December 23, 2007, at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Funeral services for Dolly were held on Friday, December 28, 2007, 10:30 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. David Maciej officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.

 

Dolly was born on April 30, 1923 in London, England to Joseph and Sarah (Phillips) Hammond.  She attended school in London and after graduation Dolly worked many different jobs for the war effort.  On December 12, 1944 she married Joseph Carroll Soule.  In 1946 Dolly came to the United States by ship with their 1st child Lawrence.  They made their way from New York to Minneapolis by train where Joe met them and brought them to Browerville.  Dolly raised 9 children and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed knitting, fishing, canning, playing cards, playing piano, playing bingo with the seniors, watching the Twins and spending time with her grandchildren.  Dolly was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville and Royal Neighbors.

 

Dolly is survived by her children:  Lawrence Soule of Brainerd, Steve Soule of Burnsville, Dave Soule of Hawaii, Vic (Sue) Soule of Browerville, Joseph (Sue) Soule of Point Reyes, California, Tim (Bev) Soule of Sauk Centre, Colleen (Rick) Anderson of Browerville, Bob (Ginger) Soule of Long Prairie and Christine Soule (Dennis VanHavermaet) of Browerville, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.

 

Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph, brothers:  Ben and Charlie, 1 brother David in infancy and sisters:  Sarah and Alice.
