Carole Gmyrek, 71, of Browerville, passed away peacefully at her home on March 5, 2008.  Funeral services for Carole were held on Saturday, March 8, 2008, 11 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. David Maciej officiating. 

Casket bearers were Zach DeFoe, Dylan Gmyrek, Jay Noland, Bill Buhl, Mike Heid and Paul Codner.

Carole was born on March 16, 1936, in Browerville, to Albert & Alma (Determan) Heid.  She attended St. Peter’s Parochial School and graduated from Browerville High School. Carole attended St. Cloud State University and graduated with a teaching degree.  She married Richard Gmyrek on February 13, 1958 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church     Browerville.   She taught elementary school in Swanville and also taught country school in Browerville.  Carole loved to play cards and watch the Vikings and Twins.  She enjoyed going to the casino with her friends and traveling.  Carole was a member of Christ he King Catholic Church in Browerville. 

Carole is survived by her husband Dick of Browerville, daughter Laurie (Joe) Ferrara of Aitkin, and sons:  John (JoAnn) Gmyrek of Browerville and Mark Gmyrek of Browerville, brother Lloyd (Alice) Heid of Alexandria and 6 grandchildren.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents and sister Arlis Codner.
