Anna Elizabeth Dudek, 92, of Long Prairie, passed away on October 22, 2006 at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home.  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, October 26, 1 p.m., at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie with Fr. Scott Wittkop officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.  Casket bearers were Kevin Koester, David Koester, Dan Eberle, Mike Eberle, Wendy Isder, Tim Malone, Eric Malone, and Brent Malone.  Honorary Casket bearers were Matt Brichacek and Lori Franz.  Cross Bearer was Melissa Swan.

 

Anna was born on February 21, 1914 in Avon, Minnesota to Mary (Bieniek) and Albert Grabish.  She married John Dudek on October 9, 1934 in Maples, Minnesota.  Together they farmed in Little Elk Township until their retirement in 1974 when they moved into Long Prairie.  Anna enjoyed gardening, embroidery and playing cards.  She will be missed by her four daughters, Gloria (Ed) Koester of Oakdale, De Eberle of Long Prairie, Rose Marie Brichacek of Little Falls, Mary Jane (Richard) Malone of Deer Creek, Sister Helen Benson of Little Falls, 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  Anna is preceded in death by her parents, husband John, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

 

Anna had a full life and our memories of a loving mother, grandmother and sister will live on.
