Alice John, 83, of Browerville, passed away on December 19, 2007, at the Long Prairie Memorial Hospital.  Funeral services for Alice were held on Saturday, December 22, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville with Fr. David Maciej officiating.  Interment was held at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Browerville.  Casket Bearers were Mark and Paul Johnson, Craig and Cody John, Jeremy and Justin Shutter.  Cross Bearer was Kim Kaluza.

Alice was born on March 22, 1924 in Turtle Creek Township, Todd County, to Joseph & Elizabeth (Goligowski) Gallus.  In 1942 she married Roman John.   Alice spent her life in the Browerville area.  She was a devoted wife and mother.  Alice loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.  She enjoyed fishing for sun fish at Pine Island Lake, dancing, bowling, picking berries, flower gardening and drives in the country.  Alice is a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville, Christian Mother’s, Red Hat’s Club and card club.

Alice is survived by her children:  Diane (Gary) Johnson of Browerville, Sandra (Frank) Soden of Fredricksburg,Virginia, Shirley Mace of Phoenix, Arizona, Susan (Ron) Shutter of Long Prairie, Joanie John & Glenn Austin of Georgetown, Ontario, Ron (JoAnn) John of Browerville, Jimmy John of Browerville, 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, husband Roman in 1986, brother, Ervin Gallus, sister, Helen Gorman.
